Happy Holidays Card Series # 1

Holiday Card 1C - ADL So happy to be ahead of the holiday card curve.  Most years I plan to be on top of things and then before I know it, Thanksgiving is here and I am trying to get 50 cards made and mailed in time for Christmas.  One year, I even changed all of my cards to “Happy New Year” cards just to buy myself an extra week.  But this year, I am so on it!  The plan is to create around five unique cards that I will duplicate and deliver to my loved ones.  Although there will be duplicates, the sentiments inside of the cards will be customized for each recipient.Holiday Card 1A - ADL

This is the very first in my 2014 Holiday Card series.  This simple card relies on texture as a key feature.  The background dots were easily created using “homemade” modeling paste and a stencil.  While the paste was still wet I added silver glitter to accent the pattern.  On some of the cards, I used Stickles glitter glue as a less messy and more controlled alternative to the glitter.   A rub-on sentiment and a simple wreath embellishment finish off this clean and modern card.  I love its glittery simplicity!

Love these! I am hoping to actually make cards or tags for the first time ever this year!

Thanks Kat! For some reason, I just assumed you made cards every year. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
