Last year, I celebrated my birthday with an impromptu trip to Ocean City, MD. At the time it was unseasonably warm outside. Temperatures were well into the upper 80’s. So, it was super special to be able to travel to the beach and actually get into the water in October. Although, I only got in for a few minutes and not very deep. OK, I actually just dunked myself just to say that I did it. Anyone that knows me knows that I am a water baby, I LOVE to swim. So what was my issue? Well, the water gave me the heebie jeebies! It was eerily still (not the big waves that I was used to seeing). Plus, I spotted some strange creature bobbing up and down in the distance which I could not identify. Not sure if it was some ultra-poisonous jelly fish, the dorsal fin of a shark, or a tentacle from the Kraken. Either way, it was a no go for me. So I spent the rest of the day chillin’ on the sand. No biggie, I was just happy to be there.
So what does any of this have to do with the “Scarecrow Party” layout. Well, on the drive down to OC (yeah that’s what the cool kids call it) I spotted a farm house that had a bunch of scarecrows posted up on the lawn.
They looked as if they were having a party. I couldn’t resist pulling over and taking some pictures. The whole scene was creepy and oh so Halloween. I would love to create a display like this, but then again I would probably feel a little nervous each time I pulled into the driveway. Counting each one…making sure there are no axe murdering imposters. SMH!!!
