Finding a creative outlet is so necessary. It helps to relieve stress, stimulate ideas and most importantly it is fun. The only thing better than discovering a creative hobby is finding a group of people to share it with. That is exactly what I have in my scrapbooking “sistahs.” For the past almost 7 years, we have gotten together for weekend long retreats. Many of us initially met online through Scraps of Color but over the years we have formed true bonds of friendship. Scrapbooking is such a special part of my life, it has allowed me to preserve memories that I hope to never forget. It has also allowed me to create new memories. It is so wonderful how life connects us in interesting ways and how one thing can lead to something you never would have imagined.
The pictures in this layout were taken during one of our retreats in Atlanta a few years ago. We always have such a great time together – dancing, laughing, acting a fool and yes we even get a little scrapping done. I truly appreciate these ladies and the others that are not in the pictures. They help to inspire my creativity and also validate my obsession with scrapbooking. We share a scrappy kind of love!
My favorite thing about this layout is the title, I love that the letters are super bold and oversized.
